Bio:
John MacLachlan (owner-artist)

John has been tinkering with hot rods and art since he was a kid
back in the 1970's. Like most of us, he looked elsewhere to pay
the bills. This has given him over 20 years in the aerospace
industry as a research and development technician on many well
known programs such as the Air Force F-22 Raptor, Atlas V solid
rocket propulsion systems, and various missile defense programs.

About a year ago, he decided to combine his technical background in mechanical assemblies with his passion for custom hot-rods and
artwork. So with the support and not-so-gentle nudging from his lovely
wife Kerri, Johnny mac Technical Illustration was born.

"We all spend the majority of our 20's and 30's doing what needs to be
done regarding family and career. For a while, all we really think about
are things like little-league, and mortgage payments. But then something
starts to reverberate from within us - something strong enough to keep us
up at night, or lose focus at work. That something, I believe, is passion.
For me, that passion is art. My only regret, is that I didn't listen to it sooner.
This is the stuff I try to teach my children. Life is good."
